Hope in faith

Now faith is the [a]substance of things hoped for, the [b]evidence of things not seen. For by it the elders obtained a good testimony.By faith, we understand that the [c]worlds were framed by the word of God so that the things which are seen were not made of things which are visible. – Hebrews 11:1-3

The enormity of a problem and its impact on one’s life can often resolve with one saying there is no hope for a solution to the problem. There are many instances in our own lives that we can pinpoint and bear witness that in our eyes, such instances, issues or situations seem hopeless. In today’s devotion, our goal is to change this perspective of our view of life and its challenges.

Beloved, today we are being challenged by the word of God to always hope in faith. When you take a look around you, in your own life, the life of close loved ones, community, and the world, there is hope for great happenings through Jesus Christ always.

The things that are impossible with humanity, are possible with God

As I thought of Hebrews 11:1, it states that faith is the substance of things hoped for. Beloved your faith is evident in the things you hope for. The hope you have is made substantial by your faith in God. The next three verse encourages us with examples of how faith in God has proven to be the real deal. The elders referring to those who came before the people in the New Testament i.e. Abraham, Noah, Moses, Joseph, Daniel, Jacob and all the others were able to obtain their testimonies because of their hope in God. They never gave up in trusting God for the visions and hopes they had and because of their faith, they obtained their testimonies.

I believe this word came to quicken someone’s faith. Many are giving up in their Christian faith due to the hardships of life. Beloved, hope in God never disappoints. Let’s keep our hopes alive, our hopes positive, our hopes with joy that they are fulfilled in Christ Jesus. God demonstrates to us through creation that our words which we speak are able to bring that which is not in existence into existence.

Your Confession becomes your possession

Finally dear one, your hope becomes your confession and your confession becomes your possession. Hope in faith and faith that is in the true and living God. God is ever faithful and will always manifest Himself to us. Know that no matter what you are going through God is with you and will always be with until the end of time. Abide in Jesus Christ, live for Jesus Christ and hope in faith in God.

Stay blessed and always know that Jesus Christ dearly loves you because He gave His life to save you. ❤
