Can you believe we are already closing the chapter on the first half of 2026? Time is flying, but through it all, God has been truly faithful!
Beloved in Christ, let’s take a collective breath. Let’s set aside some intentional time to pause, reflect, and pray over our walk with God as we press into the next half of the year.
As I sat down to reflect on these past six months, three words kept pressing heavily on my heart:
- Renew your relationship with God
- Refocus on God’s Word
- Realignment with God’s Will
1. Renew your relationship with God
This is all about the heart. Over time, our spiritual life can start to feel like routine or obligation. Renewing your relationship means moving past the habits and getting back to the connection. It’s an invitation to treat God not as a task on your to-do list, but as the loving God that you long to be with daily. Think of it like hitting the reset button on your communion with God; coming to Him with vulnerability about your struggles, your joys, and your passion and desire to just be in His presence.
2. Refocus on God’s Word
This is all about the mind. The world is incredibly noisy, and it’s easy for our attention to get hijacked by stress, social media, or daily anxieties. Refocusing on God’s Word means intentionally tuning out that noise to tune into God’s Word. It is more than just a quick reading of a verse; it’s about letting Scripture anchor your thoughts, saturate your being to reshape your perspective, and remind you of who God is and who you are in Him.
3. Realignment with God’s Will
This is all about your actions. You can have a renewed heart and a focused mind, but alignment is where the rubber meets the road. It means looking at your daily habits, decisions, and priorities, and asking: “Does my life match up with what God values?” Realignment usually requires a course correction, shifting away from our own selfish plans or safety zones and stepping into the path of obedience and trust that He has laid out for us so that God alone will be glorified and in turn our hearts gets filled with so much joy.
Finding Our Footing Amid the Noise
Let’s be honest, so much can transpire between January and June. Life is happening fast. For some, you might be dealing with unexpected distractions, sudden restrictions, or heavy life events that caught you completely off guard.
Maybe these challenges threw you off course in your walk with the Lord. Maybe they left you feeling hurt, exhausted, or deeply discouraged. If that is where you find yourself today, please listen closely to God’s voice. Let His truth breathe fresh life into your heart and mind right now:
“But now, this is what the Lord says—
he who created you, Jacob,
he who formed you, Israel:
‘Do not fear, for I have redeemed you;
I have summoned you by name; you are mine.
When you pass through the waters, I will be with you;
and when you pass through the rivers, they will not sweep over you.
When you walk through the fire, you will not be burned;
the flames will not set you ablaze.’”
— Isaiah 43:1-2
You Are Not Alone- God is with you
Child of God, you are redeemed and saved by the precious blood of Jesus Christ. Please do not lose heart.
The Creator of the universe is with you to keep you, guide you, and strengthen you for the days ahead. The first half of the year might have felt like a flood or a fire, but you are still standing because He is holding you.
As we step boldly into the rest of 2026, let’s anchor our hearts with a prayer of surrender, setting our eyes on Christ alone to bring Him all the glory and honor.
Let’s Pray into the Second half of the year
Let’s make the words of Psalm 143:10 our daily prayer:
“Teach me to do your will, for you are my God.
May your gracious Spirit lead me forward on a firm footing. Amen!
Here’s to walking into the rest of 2026 with realigned hearts, focused minds, and unshakable faith!
Over to You!
