The steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord,
And He delights in his way.
24 Though he fall, he shall not be utterly cast down;
For the Lord upholds him with His hand. 25 I have been young, and now am old; Yet I have not seen the righteous forsaken, Nor his descendants begging bread.

Have you ever thought of yourself being a micromanager. At times, the need to be a micromanager is necessary for managing incompetent or novice workers to help them to produce desired outcomes.

Many of us are unconsciously micromanaging God. You may ask how? Well, do you find yourself often asking God how? when? what? even after you have heard directly from him on what you ought to do or how you ought to be. Most of these questioning emerge out of the fear of the unknown.

This morning, the word of God from the above scripture verse, is reminding us of a very vital thing we ought to always keep in our heart as children of God, that God got us!  God who made the universe and its entire existence is more than competent to guide your path through this life.

The steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord, – In other scripture versions, it is written the steps of the righteous in place of a good man still meaning the same. Dear one, if you have given your life to Christ and has declared Him as your Lord and personal savior, know that you are now the righteousness of God. In this context, you fit the identity of the Good Man or the Righteous. Know this beloved, God orders your STEPS, that is God lays out the course of your life and there is no need for you to figure that out on your own. This is what you do, commit your ways and desires unto Him and trust and obey Him to lead you on the path He has set before you.

Though he falls, he shall not be utterly cast down – The path of the righteous is not perfect, at times you may fall, that is misfortunes, temptations, trials may come your way but the word of God hidden in your heart will always give you faith and hope to keep trusting. And our faithful God does this – “For the Lord upholds him with His hand”. Amazing isn’t it? God is so faithful and awesome. Once you commit yourself to Him, know that He is with you all the way. God never gives up on us, His mercy and grace always abound to lead us on the path He has set before us.
