Prayer for Peace

In the words of our Lord Jesus Christ

Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.

John 14:27 NKJV

There is a peace that God gives that transcends all peace that we can ever imagine or think of, it is a peace that keeps us even in the midst of chaos, conflicts and confusion.

Let’s pray for this peace that only God can give to us and bring calm to our troubled hearts.

Dear Lord Jesus,

Thank you for your grace and mercies upon our lives. We are because of your grace and for that we are immensely grateful to you. We give you all the glory and the honor for who you are and who you will always be. King of Glory we exalt and magnify you for your goodness, kindness and eternal love towards us. May our lips never cease to offer the sacrifice of praise unto your name.

Father, we bring our brokenness, fears, worries, doubts, and all the weaknesses in our lives before you. We lay it all down at your feet and ask in your name that you give to us the peace that will bring calm to our troubled minds and hearts. May this peace bring restoration to our brokenness, may it alleviate our worries and strengthen our hope and trust in you. May this peace quicken our spirits, souls and bodies to stand firm in our faith in you and not be moved. Though it may seem like chaos, conflicts, confusion all around us yet let your peace ground us in your love that we will not be swallowed by all that goes on around us.

Heavenly Father, we ask also that you give us the grace to carry this peace into places where it is needed. Endue us with power by your Holy Spirit so that we will be able to minister your peace to all who need it. Use us o Lord as your vessels of honor to bring peace into the world and let your glory fill the earth.

Thank you Lord Jesus for being the God of peace and we know that as we have prayed in your name, it shall be done unto us according to your word. In Jesus name Amen!
