You are an Answer to God’s Needs

God made you with a divine intent for your life. Beloved, this one of the mysteries that we all tend to grapple in one way or the other. In moments when you find yourself confused and wondering about your life,  I beseech you to turn your heart and mind unto God and allow God to speak into your heart about His plan for your life. God spoke to Jeremiah. Joseph through a dream, Esther through Mordecai and so on.

This week I have been extremely blessed with this reminder and today I want to remind someone that you are extremely important to God for you are an answer to God’s need. The thought of this is amazing but let’s just reflect on some people in the Bible and how God proved this in their life and relate this to our lives.

Jeremiah (The Prophet)

“Before I formed you in the womb I knew[a] you
before you were born I set you apart;
I appointed you as a prophet to the nations.” – Jeremiah 1:5

The assignment for Jeremiah to a prophet was already set by God even before he was formed in his mother’s womb. God knew that a time like that will come and a prophet will be needed to speak to God’s people on God’s behalf. Jeremiah was born for this purpose that God will use him.

Samuel (The Prophet, King & Priest)

In her deep anguish, Hannah prayed to the Lord, weeping bitterly. 11 And she made a vow, saying, “Lord Almighty, if you will only look on your servant’s misery and remember me, and not forget your servant but give her a son, then I will give him to the Lord for all the days of his life, and no razor will ever be used on his head.” – 1 Samuel 10-11

Hannah needed a son, God needed a prophet, king, and a priest. When Hannah travailed in prayer, God released the answer to her prayer which met both her need and God’s need. Samuel became the leader of Israel and served in the role as priest, king, and prophet until the people demanded a king.

Joseph (Son of Jacob)

One night Joseph had a dream, and when he told his brothers about it, they hated him more than ever. “Listen to this dream,” he said. “We were out in the field, tying up bundles of grain. Suddenly my bundle stood up, and your bundles all gathered around and bowed low before mine!” – Genesis 37:5-7

Joseph’s purpose was that he will go ahead of his family in Egypt to be used to deliver the people from famine. Great famine was going to come and God needed someone he could use to store enough food to sustain his people. Rachel wanted a child badly, God needed someone who will yield to his call to be strategist, visionary and a leader.

Esther the Queen

14 For if you remain silent at this time, relief and deliverance for the Jews will arise from another place, but you and your father’s family will perish. And who knows but that you have come to your royal position for such a time as this?” – Esther 4:14

God needed a queen in the palace and the King needed a wife, so God placed Esther in that position. Mordecai reminded her to think upon why she is where she is at such a time as this. Esther boldly yielded to the call on her life and deliverance came to God’s people.

These are just a few people from the Bible whose life reflect that they were answers to prayers and answers to God’s needs. God’s needs are blessings for God’s people. God loves us with an everlasting love and so always God’s needs are set up to be a blessing to us.

Note, all the mentioned people yielded to God that God’s divine plan for their lives may be fulfilled. In the face of fear, pain and rejection God helped them overcome and they were able to honor God with their lives.

Beloved in Christ, we are God’s people just like the people in Bible and for each one of us is a divine intention. This divine intention may be fulfilling specific purposes at different stages of our life. For example, the role one serves as a child is divinely intended just as the role one  serves in their adulthood.

Do not be intimidated, depressed, or discouraged about your current role or position, God to remain in God and faithfully yield your life to God, God’s purpose is already being fulfilled. It may look like you are doing something very small but God is making a great blessing out of it.

I pray God’s grace and guidance continue to abide with us. I pray we faithfully obey God’s will and word that this divine plan of God will be manifested in our lives. Beloved in Christ always remember that Jesus Christ loves you dearly  <3.
