“Do not pray about your plans, rather plan from your prayers.”
Soaking in God’s Word
As we approach the new year and begin to think about how to make the most of our time, it is crucial to remember that our plans should be based on prayer rather than the other way around. Often, we make our plans first and then pray for God’s guidance to perfect them. However, this approach can lead to frustration and self-blame when things don’t go as expected.
I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go;
Psalm 32:8 NKJV
I will guide you with My eye.
Psalm 32:8 reveals that God is the one who instructs and leads His children on the path they should go. Hence, we should seek God first, that way we will get to know His will and His word for our lives before making any plans. By doing so, our plans will emerge from a place of seeking God’s guidance, and we can trust that they are in line with His perfect plan for our lives Proverbs 3:5-6. As we seek and abide in God, He will lead and guide us to fulfill His perfect plan and bring glory to His name.
”A man’s heart plans his way, But the Lord directs his steps.“
Proverbs 16:9 NKJV
It’s important to remember that God’s perfect plan for our lives doesn’t mean we won’t face difficulties or challenges. However, as we obey His word and allow the Holy Spirit to lead us, we can overcome any obstacle and be equipped for a greater purpose. Ultimately, the greater purpose of God’s plan for our lives is to transform us into Christ’s likeness (Galatians 4:19) and bring glory to God.

Be blessed.
